Friend requests and private messaging live on Dashboard → Friends → Friends tab.
Sending a friend request
- Open Dashboard → Friends
- In Search for Friends, type at least two characters of the driver name
- Click to send a request from the search results
The other driver must accept before you can message them or add them to a group.
Pending requests
When someone sends you a request, it appears under Pending Requests:

| Accept | You become friends — messaging and group membership are available |
| Reject | The request is declined |
Outgoing requests you sent appear here too — use Cancel Request if you change your mind.
Messaging a friend
- Open Dashboard → Friends → Friends tab
- Find the driver under Your Friends
- Click Message
A conversation sidebar opens on the right. Type your message and press Enter to send (Shift+Enter for a new line). Close the sidebar when you are done.
You can also start a conversation from a friend’s row when MyLMU opens the Friends page for that driver.
Removing a friend
On Your Friends, use Remove Friend. This ends the friendship and removes them from your groups. Confirm when prompted — this cannot be undone.
From driver profiles
On another driver’s profile page, use Add Friend, Accept Request, or Friends depending on your current relationship.
