The Lap Times Explorer is a sub-view on the Overall Analytics tab. It aggregates every recorded best lap across your imported sessions and compares them to community reference times.
How to open
- Go to Dashboard → Analytics
- Stay on the Overall Analytics tab
- Click Lap Times in the filter bar
The career summary (wins, podiums, breakdown tables) is replaced by the Lap Times view. Click Lap Times again to return.
While Lap Times is open, the global Online/Offline mode toggle is hidden — data includes both modes. Use the session mode filter inside Lap Times to narrow to online or offline laps.
Overview metrics
At the top of the view:
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sessions with Lap Times | Sessions where at least one lap time was recorded |
| Tracks with Lap Times | Unique circuits with timing data |
| Sessions by Type | Split across Race, Qualifying, and Practice |
| By Session Mode | Online vs offline session counts |
A session count bar shows how many sessions match your current filters.
Reference pace
Lap times are compared to reference hotlaps from Ohne Speed's LMU Laptimes Spreadsheet. Reference pace is shown as % vs Reference:
- 100% = matches the reference hotlap
- Below 100% = faster than reference
- Above 100% = slower than reference
Percentages are comparable across tracks (unlike raw lap times).
Pace tiers
Reference pace maps to tier labels:
| Tier | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Alien | Elite community pace |
| Competitive | Strong alien-adjacent pace |
| Good | Solid mid-front running |
| Midpack | Average competitive pace |
| Tail-ender | Slower than reference midpack |
| Offline | Offline sessions (no online reference) |
When Category is set to All, reference pace may be shown per car class on multi-class tracks.
Charts
| Chart | Description |
|---|---|
| Best Lap by Track | Your fastest recorded lap on each circuit (top 10) |
| Sessions by Type | How lap-timed sessions split across race, qualifying, and practice |
| Pace vs Reference | Bar chart of reference pace % by track |
When comparing with another driver, a side-by-side reference pace chart appears for shared tracks.
Lap Times by Category
Table of session volume and average reference pace per car class (Hypercar, LMP2, LMGT3, etc.).
Lap Times by Car
Per-car breakdown:
- Sessions and tracks raced
- Average and best reference pace %
Useful for spotting which cars you are fastest in relative to community benchmarks.
Lap Times by Track
The main exploration table. Each row shows a circuit with:

| Online Best / Offline Best | Best lap per mode |
| Offline Δ | Pace difference between online and offline bests |
| Overall Best | Fastest lap across all types and modes |
| % vs Reference | Reference pace (when comparing or per-class) |
| Sessions | Count of sessions with lap times on that track |

Driver comparison
When opened via Compare with me from another driver's profile:
- A banner shows whether you share tracks for lap-time comparison
- Shared tracks show side-by-side bests and reference pace
- Tracks only one driver has raced are shown without comparison values
Tips
- Import sessions with recorded lap times — practice and qualifying count too
- Expand track rows to spot pace improvement over time
- Use reference pace % to compare performance across different circuits and cars
- For per-session sector detail and theoretical best, open the session's Charts & Lap Data tab
