Chat Memory

How MyLMU Coach keeps conversation context across chats and when that memory resets.

Last updated July 15, 2026

Summarize this page with AI

Coach maintains short-term memory within each conversation and supports multiple saved chats.

Context window

Each chat keeps the last 15 messages as context for follow-up questions.

BehaviorDetail
Follow-ups"What about sector 2?" works after a corner analysis
ResetNew chat clears memory completely
CostLonger threads may process more context per message

Multiple chats

In fullscreen Coach, the Chats sidebar lets you:

  • Switch between previous conversations
  • Start a new chat without losing old ones
  • Return to an earlier analysis thread

Chats are stored per account on MyLMU servers.

Context from the app

Beyond message history, Coach automatically receives:

SourceWhen
Current pageSession ID, telemetry file, track, car
Viewer stateActive lap, loaded ghost, playback position
Attached setupBaseline .svm if paperclip is used

You do not need to paste session IDs or file names — Coach reads context from where you are in the app.

Tips

  • Start a new chat when opening a different session or telemetry file
  • Re-attach your .svm baseline if you start a new chat mid-setup discussion
  • For one-off questions, a fresh chat often costs less than a long thread
