In Telemetry mode, Coach can open a Segment Comparison modal directly on the replay view.
What it does
When you ask about a specific corner or distance range — and you have a reference or ghost lap loaded — Coach can:
- Identify the segment you asked about
- Open the Segment Comparison modal on the telemetry replay
- Summarize deltas for that range:
- Time gain/loss
- Speed, throttle, and brake differences
- Optional tyre and brake temperature context
- Provide a short written summary aligned with the trace and track map
Requirements
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Telemetry file open | A .duckdb lap must be loaded |
| Reference lap | Community ghost, personal best, or external ghost loaded |
| Specific question | Name a corner, turn number, or segment |
Example prompts
- "Open segment comparison for T1 braking vs my ghost"
- "Compare Lesmo 2 to my reference lap"
- "Show me deltas through the chicane"
Tips
- Load your reference lap before asking — Coach compares against what is active in the viewer
- Pair the modal with follow-up questions in chat for deeper interpretation
- Segment comparison uses telemetry credits (typically 55–130 CC)
