Launch the Sync Agent on boot and keep the app up to date.
Auto-start
Enable Start with Windows/Linux in the Sync Agent settings:
- The app launches when your system boots
- Folder monitoring begins automatically (if previously configured)
- You do not need to manually open the app before racing
Recommended for drivers who race regularly and want fully hands-off uploads.
Auto-updates
The Sync Agent checks GitHub Releases for new versions automatically in the background.
When an update is available:
- The app notifies you in the window or tray
- Download and install the new version
- Restart the app
Update checks share your current app version and OS information with GitHub to determine if a newer release exists. No race data is transmitted during update checks.
Check for updates manually
You do not need to open the main window to check for a new release:
- Right-click the system tray icon
- Choose Check for Updates
- Follow the prompt if a newer version is available
This is useful after seeing a Changelog entry or when support asks you to confirm you are on the latest build.
Manual install
If automatic update install does not run, or you prefer a fresh download:
- Right-click the tray icon → Check for Updates (to confirm a newer version exists)
- Go to Dashboard → Sync Agent for the latest download link
- Or visit GitHub Releases directly
- Install over the existing version
After updating
- Your folder selections and connection are typically preserved
- If you experience issues after an update, try signing out and reconnecting
- Check the Changelog for release notes
